Bio
From journalism degree, to writing health insurance benefit schlock in a glassy Los Angeles high-rise, to twelve years in advertising copywriting to finally writing whatever I want, which always seems to gravitate toward dissecting my family’s history and habits, and then pretending everything is made up.
Also a mom, wife, runner, and MFA candidate at Bennington College, I blog about the trials of juggling such precious things at www.halfassedmom.com.
Currently nominated for a Pushcart Prize; Winner of the 2011Waasmode Fiction Prize. Publications: Passages North, ZYZZYVA, Pearl Magazine, Literary Mama, Smokelong Quarterly, Verbsap, The Reader, Cream City Review, and the anthologies: “A Year In Ink” vol. 3, (2011 San Diego Book Award winner for Best Anthology) and “The Frozen Moment” published December 2011 by Publication Studio.
